The Fusiliers in Spain is a group of reenactors and living historians who are dedicated to preserving the memory and honor of the 1st Battalion, 23rd Regiment of Foot from 1810-1815. The 23rd Regiment (Royal Welch Fusiliers) was one of the eminent regiments of the Duke of Wellington's army during the Peninsular War and during the Waterloo campaign.

The re-created 23rd strives to portray as acturately as possible the British Napoleonic soldiers during the campaigns in Portugal and Spain. This means that a large amount of detail and research goes into each soldier's uniform and gear. The standard kit and uniform of the unit is a living thing that changes as new information is uncovered.
